This is a true farmhouse chevre, the cheese is made by hand using milk supplied only from the farm & not brought in from surrounding dairies, the cheese has a moist, slightly wet texture with a creamy and a distinctive crisp flavour, it is lightly dusted with ash.
This Ashed Chevre is fantastic served on a cheese board with quince or plum fruit pastes, and accompanied with a dry Riesling or young Sauvignon Blanc.
